Shawn M. Heaphy, Co-Founder/President
Shawn is a Certified College Planner with College Funding Solutions, a national college funding organization based in Oregon. Mr. Heaphy is Co-founder and President of Planet Tuition.
Shawn graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S. in Business Management. He was a
four year letter winner in hockey at Michigan State, earning honorable mention All American as a junior. Shawn went on to sign a contact with the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Calgary Flames. After a
15 year professional hockey career which included stops in Europe, Shawn settled in Massachusetts.
Stephen S. Elias, Vice President
Stephen has over twenty-one years of financial aid and student lending experience. His extensive experience in the financial aid industry includes positions at Boston College, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Bristol Community College.
His most recent student lending experience includes serving as Managing Director of National Sales for All Student Loan. He is Vice President of Planet Tuition. Stephen received his B.S. in Business Management from the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth.

Timothy M. Donahue M.Ed
College Advisor
Timothy M. Donahue comes to Planet Tuition with more than 10 year’s in higher education and understands the challenges facing today’s college-bound students. He was the previous Director of Admissions at Anna Maria College. Tim entered the three largest classes in the college’s history and comes to us with a familial approach. His commitment to serving families, coaches and guidance counselors throughout the state is where Tim excels. He dedicates himself to the college search process and strives to find that college fit for the prospective student and their family.
Tim has earned a degree in pre-law from Salve Regina University where he also was a student-athlete, earning him offensive player of the year honors his junior year. He also received a master’s degree in education from Saint Joseph’s.
Maureen Fitzgerald, College Financial Aid Consultant
Maureen is a well known professional in the financial aid community, with 25 years of managing financial aid client relationships. As an experienced higher education services specialist, she understands the complexities of the financial aid process and the many educational challenges family’s face, Maureen’s most recent experience includes serving as the Strategic Development, Product Manager Director for NextStudent. Maureen is a College Financial Advisor for Planet Tuition. Maureen received her A.A. in Business Administration & Marketing from Albany Business College.
Mary Sullivan, Coordinator
Mary has worked in accounting, administration and finance for over twenty years. Mary is a Graduate
of Quinsigamond Community College with a degree in Business Administration. Mary is the Coordinator for Planet Tuition.

Mary Ellen has over 18 years of professional experience working in the field of education. Mary Ellen holds a Masters in Administration, Planning and Social Policy from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in government from Cornell University.
Her most recent position includes Communications and Marketing Director of Jobs for the Future. Mary Ellen is the Founder of College Connections.

Shamus brings over thirty-one years of experience in money management, financial planning, and cash flow analysis and tax reduction strategies to our organization.
Shamus is a graduate of Worcester Academy and Assumption College.
